Jardin des Plantes
Paris’s botanical garden since 1635 — formal beds, alleys of roses, glasshouses, a small zoo (the Ménagerie) and the Muséum’s great Gallery of Evolution with its dinosaur skeletons. The garden itself is free to enter; the museum galleries and menagerie are ticketed.
